Mary was very brave she stood up to the stuffy strict society that was britain in the 1970s and she would not back down, right to the very end,Disgraceful what the Met Police and HMRC did to her, She needed a true true friend that truly loved her 100% and stood side by side with her, Love her forever. Its a shame that due to the ridiculously strict censorship rules we had in the UK back then, whilst much of Europe was producing quality hard core with high production values (just look at some of the stuff that was coming from Italian or French producers) all we got from our adult 'porn' industry (basically David Sullivan and a couple of others) were limp soft core efforts like this one. Starved as we were for real porn, these poor imitations had queues round the block at West End cinemas and made a load of money . No disrespect to the lovely Mary, she did what she could, under the strictures that were in place, but it would have been great to have had an industry that could have legally made the full use of her and many other models' talents. The hopeless 'Emmanuelle in Soho' was shown on tv last night; no budget, poor acting, dreadful script, no sex, limply directed etc. It did however have a lovely display of 1970's stocking clad models, with suspenders framing gorgeous bushes, as a dance routine was shown. It made up for a lot.
